Section 1: The Asli Fit Standard

Gear Built To Suffer

Most modern footwear and apparel are engineered to degrade quickly. Thin foam soles lose their structure after a few weeks of heavy walking, while light cotton tees stretch out and fade in the wash.

Asli Fit builds equipment for real utility. Our sneakers feature high-density, zero-plastic rubber soles and reinforced uppers designed to handle concrete, dirt, and heavy daily use. Our upcoming heavyweight apparel line uses thick, durable fabrics constructed for long-term wear.

Proper maintenance keeps high-performance materials operating at their peak. This manual provides direct instructions to preserve the structure, traction, and appearance of your gear across years of active use.

Section 2: Footwear Maintenance & Cleaning

1. Rubber Soles & Tread Maintenance

Our soles are made from dense rubber compounds rather than soft, disposable foam. Keeping the tread clear of embedded debris maintains grip and prevents uneven wear patterns.

  • Frequency: Every 2 to 3 weeks, or after heavy outdoor use.
  • Step 1: Remove dried mud and surface dirt using a stiff-bristle brush.
  • Step 2: Mix warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Avoid harsh chemical bleach or industrial solvents.
  • Step 3: Scrub the outsole edges and bottom tread grooves using the soapy mixture and a bristle brush or toothbrush.
  • Step 4: Wipe down with a damp microfiber cloth and let air dry at room temperature.

2. Leather Uppers & Suede Panel Care

Full-grain and panel-cut leathers require moisture management to prevent cracking, while suede needs targeted dry cleaning to preserve its raw texture.

  • For Full-Grain Leather Panels:Wipe away surface dust with a soft, dry cloth.Apply a small amount of neutral leather balm or conditioner using a clean cloth every few months to maintain elasticity.Allow the balm to absorb for 15 minutes, then buff lightly with a dry horsehair brush.
  • For Suede & Mesh Components:Never use liquid soap directly on raw suede.Use a dedicated suede eraser to lift scuffs and dry stains.Brush gently in a single direction with a soft-bristle brush to restore the nap.

3. Insole Hygiene & Odor Control

High-density insoles absorb impact, but they also trap moisture after extended wear.

  • Remove the insoles after long days or rain exposure to allow full airflow inside the shoe cavity.
  • Sprinkle a light layer of baking soda inside the shoe overnight to absorb moisture and neutralize odors naturally.
  • Wipe down the top fabric layer of the insoles with a lightly damp cloth sprayed with diluted isopropyl alcohol once a month.

Section 3: Stress-Testing & Reality Checks

What Your Gear Can Handle:

  • Daily street walking, gravel, rain, and muddy paths.
  • Machine-washing durable shoe laces separately in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Heavy urban use and long working hours.

What To Avoid:

  • Submerging entire leather sneakers in washing machines or soaking them in water tanks.
  • Drying shoes directly on top of electric heaters or under direct, intense sunlight, which bakes and shrinks natural leather.
  • Applying harsh solvent-based acetone or paint thinners to clean rubber midsoles.
